I’m an award-winning journalist who has spent nearly a decade writing about criminal justice in New York, Miami, Phoenix, and Los Angeles. But I also love baking! Nothing makes me happier than seeing that smile on a loved one’s face when they enjoy something I made for them.
I love baking from scratch. Watching flour and butter turn to dough in your hands feels like magic. Over the five years I’ve been baking, I’ve made birthday cakes, donuts, muffins, artisan bread, all kinds of fruit-based breads, pies, scones, lemon bars, vegan cheesecakes, brownies, blondies, and sooo many cookies.
I love a challenge, so I’m always trying to bake something I haven’t made before. Learning how the ingredients come together to make something delicious is always its own treat for me.
